An FYI rather than a question. My crowpi v1.2 has different (reversed?) pin numbers for the button matrix columns when compared to example code and video.
Also, like most of the shipped code examples, the pin numbers are not defined using GPIO BOARD as in the video, so the problem was not immediately obvious. Better to alter the code to use BOARD and then map to the pin numbers printed on the board.
Third and final, there was no reminder in the video about dip switch positions. I accidentally had left block 2 switches in the wrong position after using another device which resulted in the buzzer going off whenever I pressed button 1 because column 1 shares the same pin (12) with the buzzer.
